Every comedian’s reel is their best four minutes in their best room. It tells you almost nothing about whether they can hold a hotel ballroom at 8pm while people are still finishing dessert.
Plenty of acts will tell you they have a clean set. Far fewer have actually performed one. We only put up people we have watched work the room they are going into.
A microphone through the house PA, a talking crowd and no one to open costs you the night even with the right act on the bill. Sound, lights and an emcee are the other half.

Popups Comedy is run by JP Lambiase, a stand-up with two Kill Tony appearances, winner of the 2025 Cape Coral Comedy Festival and third in Florida’s Funniest 2026. Booking is a phone call to people he has shared a stage with, not an email to an agency inbox.
A bar on a Sunday. A golf club that had never hosted stand-up. A rock venue on the night most places stay shut. Ten shows, hundreds of seats sold. A ballroom of people who already want to be there is the easy end of this.

Travel is included in the quote, not added afterwards. Dates inside four weeks and holiday season sit at the higher end.

Four to eight weeks is comfortable. November and December book out by September, so a holiday party is worth locking early. We do take short-notice dates, and we will tell you straight away if it is not realistic.
Yes. We have comedians in eleven markets including Seattle, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Tampa and Miami, so for a lot of cities the act is already local and you are not paying to fly anyone in.
A performance area about eight feet square, access to power, and a room where people are facing the stage rather than scattered around a bar. We will walk the space with you or your venue beforehand.
Yes, and we put it in writing before the date. Tell us the audience and anything off limits, and the set is built to that brief. This is the single most common reason a corporate comedy booking goes wrong, so we do not leave it to chance.
A single headliner is usually 45 minutes. A full show with an emcee, a feature and a headliner runs 75 to 90 minutes. We will recommend a length once we know your schedule.
We replace them. That is the actual argument for booking through us rather than direct: one cancellation on a direct booking is your problem at 4pm, and on ours it is ours.
